Hans V. Andersen, Jr., Treasurer

I'm pleased to be a part of Give Me Liberty.  A CPA should be of some value when it comes to watching your bank account.  Back in 1981-82 I served as the foreman of a Grand Jury that indicted the Federal Reserve Bank for violation of US Currency Law.  That was not well received.  Moving on, today I'm a member of the Orem City Council.  I am an now running for Mayor.  My financial goal is to stop the borrowing at city hall.  It's good to be part of an organization like Give Me Liberty that won't be trying to borrow money for stuff we can't afford.

Richard Mack, Board Member

Sheriff Mack: lawman, detective, undercover narcotics agent, author, consultant, Tea Party activist, motivational speaker, and crusader for liberty, has had a very storied career. Mack is the son of an FBI agent and began his own law enforcement career as a street cop in Provo, Utah. After graduating from BYU in 1978, Mack became an officer with Provo P. D. He was soon promoted to corporal, sergeant, and detective. Eleven years later Mack moved home to Arizona where he ran for sheriff. He was elected Graham County Sheriff and served as such for eight years. In 1994 federal agents informed all sheriffs that they would be required to participate in a gun control scheme known as the Brady Bill. Mack refused and became the first sheriff in American history to sue the Federal Government and win a landmark case at the U S Supreme Court. Sheriff Mack's case was based on the Tenth Amendment, States Rights and local sovereignty. Sheriff Mack said that the Federal Government could not tell him what to do; that they were not his boss. The Supreme Court agreed with him.
Since that ruling Mack has written six books and appeared at over 120 Tea Party rallies nationwide. He has stood against the incursions of the Federal Government and has fought for civil rights from Hawaii to Bangor, Maine. He is the Founder and President of the Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officers Association (CSPOA) and is a member of the Board of Directors of Oath Keepers.
